RAVEN
RAVEN Explained

Entity resolution

One entity, one truth: how RAVEN decides that separate records describe the same thing.

Entity resolution is the work of deciding that several different records describe the same real-world person, organisation or asset, and merging them into one profile.

Why it matters

Without it, an investigator sees fragments: three half-complete profiles instead of one clear picture. Risk hides in the gaps between systems.

How RAVEN approaches it

RAVEN compares records across sources and scores how likely they are to be the same entity, using names, identifiers, addresses and shared attributes. Matches above a configurable confidence threshold merge; borderline cases are flagged for a human to review.

SignalExample
Name variants"A. Chen" and "Alexandra Chen"
Shared identifiersA company number reused across filings
Shared attributesA phone number appearing on three profiles

Merging is reversible and inspectable. Every decision keeps its evidence, so a wrong merge can be found and undone.
